NOLLYWOOD MOVIES AWARDS (NMA’s) 2013 EDITION

Call for Submission

 The Nollywood Movies Award’s (NMA’S) is now open for entries for the 2013 edition which will be held on the 7th September 2013. This year a new category (Best short movie) has also been added.

Submission process:

On Saturday 18^th May 2013, the 2^nd Annual Women4Africa Awards will take place and promises to be a night of honour, fun and immense hospitality.

British-Nigerian comedian, Wale Gates hosts the 2nd edition of his successful comedy show 'Just Joking' with Wale Gates' on Sunday, the 12th of May 2013 at the iconic Catford Broadway Theatre, London, featuring some of the biggest names on the African comedy circuit -- Eddie Kadi, Jedi, A-Dot Comedian, Teju Babyface, Seyi Brown, President Obonjo and Gbenga Adeyinka D 1st.

Judges - Annie Hood (Afrofusion UK), Dele Onabowu (founder Miss black Africa and Nollywood Uncut), Abena Adjeiwaa (House of Adjeiwaa) , Kunle Lawani (LGC Global)

The search for Miss Black Africa UK 2013 continues as a new set of girls took part in the third 1^st round audition hoping to secure a spot to represent their countries.  The audition took place today, the 4^th of May at FESTAC Bar, Holloway road in London. The Miss Black Africa pageant is open to girls resident in the UK with an origin from East, West, Central or Southern Africa.  The Grand Finale will take place on the 5^th of October 2013 at the Royal Regency Hall, London.

LFW – The Longest and Most Democratic Catwalk Show Hits the Streets

It's fair to say that London Fashion Week, along with many other international catwalk shows held around the globe, is a closed door event that only a privileged few working within the industry can experience. While most are happy to get their designer fix from the pages of the newspaper or by viewing online fashion sites photographer Cassandra Mayers decided to add a new angle to the proceedings.

Using structure, colour blocking and contrast outlines, this trend borrows from sportswear to create a graphic, visual statement to dresses, jackets, coats and separates. From bold stripes to contrast necklines & hems to striking prints and geometric patterns.Details include bound hems to create contrasting outlines, piped hems, contrasting panels, combining differing fabrics such as mesh with stretch jersey.
